Thank you everyone for making an incredible first year of the Alphabet Rockers Family Block Party!
Celebrating the elements of hip hop: emcees, breakdancing, DJ, graffiti-inspired arts, and beatboxing, we had an incredible list of guest artists come through to make a fantastic event. DJ Wonway Posibul kept us dancing all afternoon - Mix’d Ingrdnts breakdancers Shinobi Jaxx and Loan rocked the dance floor – emcee Infinite got us going with the ABC’s of Beatboxing and a special dad and kid beatbox battle – and Lyrics Born, Bay Area star hosted the affair.
We could not have done this without the support of Eventbrite Performing Arts grant and our incredible manager from Eventbrite, Jenn Stokes. She helped us all through the year to plan the event and make sure it was an incredible experience for guests. Hats off to SoleSpace, Urban Sitter, Red Tricycle, and 510 Families for supporting the event as sponsors, and to all of our volunteers and media sponsors like KPFA’s Father Figures for promoting the event in your communities.
